Accepted Payment Methods and Restrictions for APOLLO Policy Payments

APOLLO accepts a limited range of payment methods for policy payments to ensure secure and streamlined processing. Below, we outline the approved payment methods, reasons certain methods are not supported, and frequently encountered issues.

Accepted Payment Methods

Currently, we accept policy payments made with the following:

  • Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

  • Debit Cards: Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit, provided these are offered by major banks.

These payment methods have been selected due to their reliability, widespread availability, and compatibility with APOLLO's pre-authorized debit requirements.

Payment Methods Not Accepted

Certain payment methods are not supported by Apollocover. These include:

  • Direct Deposits and E-Transfers: Payments such as Interac e-transfers are not accepted.

  • Account-Based Payments: Providing account numbers for direct withdrawals is not an option. Payments need to go through approved card systems.

  • Prepaid Cards: These cards are not set up for pre-authorized debits and therefore cannot be used.

Why Are Certain Methods Not Supported?

Apollocover’s payment policies are designed to comply with strict processing and security standards. For example, supported payment cards must allow pre-authorized debits, a feature absent in some cards.

Addressing Payment Issues

If a payment is rejected, consider the following steps:

  1. Ensure the card being used is on the list of accepted payment methods.

  2. Verify that your card supports pre-authorized debits. Contact your bank if unsure.

  3. If using a Prepaid Card or similar, you will not be able to pay for your policy month. Try switching to a different card, such as Visa or Mastercard Debit from major banks.

If you continue to face issues, reach out to our team for support and guidance.
