Can a cancelled policy be reinstated?

What happens when an APOLLO policy is cancelled for non-payment, why it cannot be reinstated, and how to contact support to discuss your options.

Written by Celina De Bruge

If your policy has been cancelled due to non-payment, it cannot be reinstated. Once a policy is cancelled for non-payment, the coverage ends permanently and the original policy cannot be resumed.

What to do next

Contact our support team through the Contact Us page with your policy number, full name, and address. An agent will review your account and explain the options available to you.

Cancelled at your own request

If you cancelled your policy yourself — not for non-payment — and want coverage again, you can apply for a new policy directly at apollocover.com/quote/tenant. There's no waiting period and you can get a new quote immediately.

Note that if your cancellation resulted in an outstanding balance or short-rate fee, that will need to be cleared before a new policy can be issued.

What a coverage lapse means

Any gap between your old policy's cancellation date and a new policy's start date is an uninsured period. Any incident that occurs during that gap will not be covered.
