How do I update the landlord name on my policy?

Why you can't change the landlord name in the APOLLO Customer Portal right now, what you can do in the meantime, and how to contact support if your landlord has a specific requirement.

Written by Celina De Bruge

If you need to update the landlord name or landlord details on your policy, please be aware of a current limitation in the Customer Portal.

Known limitation — landlord name cannot be changed in the portal

At this time, the Customer Portal does not support changing the landlord name on your policy directly. This is a known issue our team is working to resolve, but a fix is not yet available.

What you can do in the meantime

Send your Certificate of Insurance to your landlord
Your Certificate of Insurance (COI) is your proof of coverage and is accepted by the vast majority of landlords. You can share it directly from the Customer Portal:

  1. Select Share my policy

  2. Enter your landlord's email address and send

The COI shows your coverage details and policy number. Most landlords accept this as sufficient proof of insurance regardless of whether their name appears on it.

Adding your landlord as an additional insured
If your landlord specifically requires being listed as an additional insured on your policy (rather than just receiving the COI), contact our support team. While the portal doesn't currently support changing the landlord name, our team can note this on your account and advise on options. See Can My Landlord Be an Additional Insured on My Policy? for more details on what additional insured status means.

Contact support

If your landlord has a specific requirement that the COI doesn't satisfy, reach out through our Contact Us page with your policy number and details of what your landlord needs. Our team will work with you on next steps.
