If you are filing for theft or burglary, please include a copy of your police report. Timely submission is essential as it helps initiate the claims process sooner. For tenants or renters' insurance policies, claims should ideally be filed as soon as possible, but must be submitted within one year of the date of loss. You can provide additional details later if new information becomes available after initially filing your claim.
